Citizen Engagement and Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
The Fondation l'Envol (Take Wings Foundation) promotes citizen engagement and synergy of local actors to improve daily life in the community and working-class neighbourhoods.
Overview of the project
This project aims to:
- Raise awareness of the SDG and develop a better understanding of their interdependencies, including for the media.
- Stimulate citizen engagement through collective actions aimed at improving the common space within working-class neighbourhoods. Local elected officials and neighborhood leaders will be made aware of the SDG (focus on SDG1, SDG3, SDG4, SDG6, and SDG11) and the principles of citizen engagement, so that they can be opinion leaders and catalysts of collective awareness in favour of sanitation in our neighbourhoods; furthermore strengthening vector control of malaria.
Reinforce the awareness and commitment of citizens to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and the population's contribution to the life of the community, as well as to the respect and sanitation of the living environment.
