Planting Windbreaks and Promoting Market Gardening to Combat Desertification and Promote Socio-economic Integration
Its general objective is to improve the social and sustainable living conditions of communities through participative approaches.
Overview of the project
A Sahelian country with a rapidly growing population, Chad is facing perpetual environmental destruction, with global warming in full swing. With increasing urbanisation and air pollution, the environment is being severely destroyed; the desert is advancing unchecked; freshwater rivers are being permanently polluted and used by the population; the food chain is toxic due to the use of toxic products; mining and energy resources are being clumsily exploited; fauna and flora are on the verge of extinction, and so on. It’s unfortunate that all natural resources are being over-exploited and destroyed these days. We need to ask ourselves what the cost will be on future generations and who is to blame. This is why we need to plant windbreaks and promote market gardening, so that the fight against global warming can be stepped up and socio-economic integration into local production can be effective, socially aware and conscious.
The project aims to contribute to the employability of young women and men through sustainable socio-economic integration, with a view to strengthening environmental protection and global warming, food security and income growth.

- The supply of motorcycle ambulances reduces the risk of death in many cases and increases the chances of survival for people in distress who need urgent medical services. In time, doctors will be able to reach half the population within an adequate timeframe.
