Overview of the project
The Iconi coastal area, once renowned for its idyllic beaches and rich marine biodiversity, is now facing growing environmental challenges. Among the most pressing threats is the pollution of beaches by plastic and organic waste, which degrades the ecosystem and affects the quality of life of local residents. Added to this is rising sea levels, accentuated by climate change and exacerbated by the unregulated extraction of sand and coral, practices that destabilize the natural balance of the coasts. The aim of this project is to mobilize the community around the protection and preservation of the coastal environment. Not only does it aim to raise awareness of good environmental practices among local residents, but it also aims to raise awareness of the need to protect and preserve the coastal environment.

In summary, this project has generated significant quantitative and qualitative results, contributing to community awareness and action for the preservation of the coastal environment in Iconi. The initiatives put in place, as well as the enthusiasm of the local population, lay a solid foundation for a sustainable future and the protection of marine ecosystems.

Faced with major challenges such as beach pollution and rising sea levels, our community is determined to take action to preserve this exceptional ecosystem and guarantee a sustainable future for future generations. Our actions focus on raising awareness of responsible environmental practices, while providing economic and social support to those whose livelihoods depend on the extraction of natural resources such as sand and coral. Our aim is to promote sustainable resource management and develop economic alternatives.
