PYAO afforestation Project
Phalombe Youth Arms Organization raises awareness among communities and young children about the conservation of environment which is facing serious challenges resulting from climate change in Malawi.
Overview of the project
As youth organization in Phalombe we are working with communities that we come from to conserve the environment which is facing serious challenges resulting from climate change. We engage pupils in planting trees around schools within Nambiro Education Zone. Apart from planting trees we also raise awareness in communities on the benefits of conservation agriculture and the need to follow soil and water techniques this time of climate change to realize high yields.

The organisation is implementing activities to bring back the environment through afforestation and reforestation in schools around Nambiro Education Zone in Phalombe district by encouraging pupils to plant trees around the schools. Involvement of youth in raising awareness of the community on afforestation.
