Save the date | September 27th “African/European perspectives – Connecting development, climate and conservation actors”
An event organised by the city of Bordeaux and the Climate Chance association, in partnership with Cités Unies France (CUF) and AIMF (Association Internationale des Maires Francophones).
A day of exchange and sharing of expertise between stakeholders to promote the emergence of sustainable development opportunities based on South/North and North/South reciprocity and innovative cooperation programmes for ecological connectivity and sustainable development.
With COP16 Biodiversity just a few months away, the opportunity to take stock of France’s international action in the field of nature conservation and, more specifically, ecological connectivity.
The day will be structured around 3 round tables bringing together experts in these fields:
- International Action by Local Authorities & Biodiversity
- Climate finance: what role for biodiversity credits?
- Two years since the Kunming-Montreal Framework: what are the challenges for biodiversity at COP16 in Cali and what is the role of Guineans and French actors??
A high-level dialogue will conclude the day: In the run-up to COP16 Biodiversity, what lessons can be drawn from the first initiatives aimed at converging climate and biodiversity issues in Africa?
