104e congrès de l’Association scientifique et technique pour l’eau et l’environnement (ASTEE)

To mark Astee's 120th anniversary, take part in its 104th congress, to be held in Toulouse from 2 to 5 June 2025, on the subject of "Accelerating the ecological transition in cities and regions".

Monday 02 JuneThursday 05 June
Toulouse

The conference will bring together nearly 600 participants (elected representatives, decision-makers, scientists and researchers, engineers and technicians from the water, sewerage, waste and environment sectors) to discuss the theme of “Accelerating the ecological transition in towns and cities”. Climate projections, IPCC reports and the crossing of planetary limits are daily reminders that the ecological transition underway is necessary, and that local and regional authorities play a major role in it.

How are towns and cities organising this ecological transition in the fields of water and waste management? The organisation of water and waste services, the link with urban planning, the organisation of solidarity between towns, outlying areas and the rest of the countryside, the management of uses and flows… What kind of governance should be adapted to this organisation in the regions and what monitoring and continuous improvement procedures should be put in place, what kind of risk management and support should be provided? Technical sessions, workshops and training courses will provide an opportunity to answer these questions, to advance the state of knowledge and to fuel discussions on the regulatory, technical and scientific aspects of water and waste management.
