Conférence technique territoriale “Adaptation au changement climatique : mobiliser autour d’un futur positif”
Cerema is organising a regional technical conference on "Adapting to climate change: mobilising for a positive future" in Arras on 28 November 2024.
Imagine a world where renewable energies have replaced fossil fuels, where cities are oases of greenery and biodiversity. In this future, positive-energy buildings produce more than they consume, and electric public transport and bicycles are the preferred modes of transport. Local communities are self-sufficient thanks to sustainable farming systems and short supply chains.
According to Rob Hopkins, ‘you can’t build what you can’t imagine. The future has to live in us long before it happens’.
In this way, the positive imagination becomes a powerful tool for transforming the way we adapt to climate change.
But in practical terms, what is meant by storytelling and building a collective imagination? And how can these methods be used to get people moving and build a new regional project?
