The carbonn Climate Registry is the voluntary and public reporting platform for local and other subnational governments, enabling these entities to report and monitor their climate and energy commitments, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions performance, plans as well as climate change mitigation and adaptation actions
The platform fosters exchanges, sharing of information and comparative studies among more than 950 registered entities. ICLEI uses this data to represent its network and all local and other subnational governments in the global climate negotiations, working with its partners in calling for support to scale up local climate action and raise global climate ambition.
The cCR was launched during the World Mayors Summit on climate hosted in Mexico on 21st november 2010.
