Transforming Public Transport in Africa with the Innovation Challenge DT4A
In December 2021, the DigitalTransport4Africa (DT4A) project launched the DT4A Innovation Challenge, a pilot project aimed at addressing urban mobility issues through the presentation of awards to showcase mapping initiatives and demonstrate the success of these initiatives on the African continent. The session will examine the emerging evidence presented by the DT4A Innovation Challenge winners, highlighting the challenges and opportunities encountered on the ground, to help identify practical solutions for public transport in Africa. The session will also emphasize the importance of providing awards and financial grants to companies and civil society organizations to get their projects off the ground to prove their impact.
