Deciding Today for Tomorrow: Engaging Future Generations
Description
For the first time, a European Commissioner has been specifically tasked with intergenerational equity, responsible for developing a “strategy” that fully considers the impact of today’s decisions on future generations.
What mechanisms can be put in place to ensure the voice of future generations is heard? What proposals should be considered?
This session will explore several examples and discuss public policies that could shift the approach and better incorporate the needs of future generations.
