Climate Chance Summit Europe 2022
Joint Closing Plenary: From the Fight Against Climate Change to a Just Transition: A Strategy for Europe
From the Fight Against Climate Change to a Just Transition: A Strategy for Europe
This plenary session will allow us to draw the first lessons from the two days of debates, workshops and exchanges, and to present the main lines of operational proposals for the implementation of the European Green Deal at local level. It will stress on the need to integrate the issues of social cohesion and international solidarity and the link between Europe and Africa, in the implementation of these new European climate action policies. The session will highlight the importance of a convergent approach between the three conventions arising out of the Rio conference in 1992 on Climate, Biodiversity and Desertification.
