Public Procurement as a Lever for Climate Action

The CO2 performance scale, by encouraging construction companies to reduce their emissions and adopt sustainable practices, plays a crucial role in strengthening companies’ ability to adapt to the challenges of climate change. This tool, developed by the Dutch foundation SKAO, was the focus of this workshop, which highlighted how public buyers and construction companies can contribute to the transition to a sustainable and resilient economy through public procurement.
