Transition, Adaptation and Resilience of Energy Systems

This workshop on Transition and Energy Autonomy in Europe revolved around three axes linked to the proposals of the Liège Declaration. The first axis, « CASCADES », addressed cascading risks related to failures in energy infrastructures and the services they provided, with a focus on identifying risks and vulnerabilities. The second axis, « NEW HAZARDS AND RISKS », examined challenges related to energy production, renewables, networks, and efficiency, including the impacts of climate change on these systems. Finally, the third axis, « ON THE GROUND », presented specific regional examples to illustrate challenges and potential solutions.
